Holm’s Response to Potential Rematch against Rousey.
Many MMA fans are already salivating at the thought of a rematch between new UFC women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm and Ronda Rousey, but The Preacher’s Daughter isn’t putting any pressure on the former titleholder.
“I think that, as far as Ronda with the rematch, I feel like for her, do what you want do do,” Holm said. “If you’re passionate about it and want to get back and avenge that loss, then great. If you want to focus on other things, great. I’m supportive of any fighter kind of doing what they’re passionate about.”
Holly Holm’s long-time coach Mike Winkeljohn says the former boxing champion was intentionally holding back in her fights prior to UFC 193.
So, what did she say to her fallen foe after so many “Rowdy” outbursts? That was a question Larry King asked when he invited Holm to be a part of his 137th birthday.
And her answer didn’t sound “fake.”
“I really admire you for being such a great, dominant champion,” Holm told Rousey during their post-fight embrace. “None of us would be here without you, so I appreciate you.”
A ninja or shinobi was a covert agent or mercenary in feudal Japan. The functions of the ninja included espionage, sabotage, infiltration, and assassination, and open combat in certain situations. Their covert methods of waging war contrasted the ninja with the samurai, who observed strict rules about honor and combat. The shinobi proper, a specially trained group of spies and mercenaries, appeared in the Sengoku or “warring states” period, in the 15th century, but antecedents may have existed in the 14th century, and possibly even in the 12th century.
